Stay in the Heart of the Canadian Wilderness
Love the beauty of the Canadian wilderness but still enjoy the comforts of home? At Rocky Ridge Resort, you can have the best of both worlds.
Open year-round, Rocky Ridge Resort offers four unique cabins, each with its own charm and character. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or an adventure with friends, you’ll find the perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature.
Bear & Eagle Cabins
Ideal for families or larger groups, our spacious Bear and Eagle Cabins comfortably accommodate up to six guests. Each authentic log cabin features:
- Two bathrooms
- A fully equipped kitchen
- A cozy living room with a wood-burning stove
- Comfortable sleeping arrangements for up to six guests
These cabins provide plenty of space while maintaining the warmth and charm of a true wilderness retreat.
Hummingbird (Honeymoon) Cabin
Looking for a peaceful escape? The Hummingbird Cabin, also known as our Honeymoon Cabin, is tucked away from the other cabins, offering extra privacy for couples or small families.
This cozy cabin includes:
- A fully equipped kitchen
- A full bathroom
- A comfortable living area with a wood-burning stove
- Sleeping accommodations for up to four guests
Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply looking to unwind, the Hummingbird Cabin offers the perfect setting.
Beaver Cabin
The Beaver Cabin is the original cabin on the property and holds a special place in Rocky Ridge Resort’s history. It was moved by logs from farther down Kitseguecla Lake Road to its current location many years ago. Over time it has been lovingly restored, giving it a unique character and rustic charm that guests continue to enjoy.
This cozy A-frame cabin features:
- A fully equipped kitchen
- A full bathroom with a bathtub
- A queen bed and a single bed in the loft
- A welcoming living room with a wood-burning stove
The Beaver Cabin is also the only cabin equipped with a small solar power system, allowing you to charge your devices and enjoy electric lighting while still experiencing an authentic off-grid getaway.
An Authentic Wilderness Experience
With the exception of the Beaver Cabin’s small solar system, our cabins operate without conventional electricity. Instead, they are comfortably equipped with propane-powered lighting, hot water, refrigerators, freezers, and stoves, allowing you to enjoy a peaceful escape without sacrificing essential comforts.
Relax in Our Wood-Fired Sauna
After a day of hiking, fishing, exploring, or simply enjoying the outdoors, unwind in our traditional wood-fired sauna. The sauna building also includes a bathroom and a separate shower, making it the perfect place to relax and recharge.
Dream Valley Saloon
Our rustic Dream Valley Saloon is one of the most unique gathering places in the Bulkley Valley. Available to rent for private events, it’s the perfect venue for:
