Super friendly staff. AMAZING location. Loved the little touches— nice soaps, clean towels, a bbq. So thoughtfully done, our cabin even had a build in ledge for a bird to build its nest. So affordable for what it was, too.

On our tour of Western Canada in May 2022, we booked Rocky Rich Resort for two nights as a relaxing stopover. We were warmly welcomed by the Swiss owners in the German language and could directly move into our already wonderful and very spacious (about 95 square meters) pre-heated cabin. We felt so comfortable that we extended our stay for one night the next morning. Regarding activities, we were given great advice by the owners (different walks in the area) and the resort also has a lot to offer (e.g. sauna hut – 2 min walk from the cabin including shower, toilet, porch) Canoeing on the lake – 1.5km from the cabin within walking distance). All in all, a wonderful oasis in the Canadian hinterland – where you can enjoy the “Canadian life” in nature in your own log cabin – besides the animals in the resort dog, cat, horse you can also see the local wildlife and even hummingbirds (yes, they are also available in Canada)! We also wish everyone a memorable time in one of the four mountain huts!

We love the cabins at Rocky Ridge, the best part is being ‘off grid’ in beautiful surroundings. We’ve stayed in every cabin at the resort, and our stay in the Honeymoon Cabin was so cosy, comfortable and warm! We will return again!

The cabins are beautiful, perfectly appointed for the off grid experience. Woke up with mama black bear and her Cubs in the field with the clouds in the mountain tops behind them. A short 15 min walk brings you to a beautiful backcountry lake. In a short visit to the lake we saw many fish attempt fight lol. If your looking for a a memorable off grid experience with running water, propane appliances and light fixtures this is the place for you!

The scenery was gorgeous, the family was very friendly, amazing hosts, the cabins were rustic and very tidy, the sauna was a wonderful experience, the canoeing was a lot of fun.

We felt so much at peace at the Rocky Ridge Resort. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a true wilderness experience. Nestled between mountain ranges and wild creeks, the cabins allow privacy and lots of opportunities for outdoor activities! Lakes, mountains and trails in front of your door.

Rocky Ridge Resort was an amazing place to stay! Lots of trails to hike and things to see. The sauna was amazing after a good hike. The views of the mountains directly behind the cabins are breathtaking. Along with cute, clean cabins it made for an awesome weekend. Will definitely be back!

Rocky Ridge Resort is a magical place. This was my second time to the property, first time at the Hummingbird Cabin with my partner. Beautiful cabin and very private. We loved exploring the property, hanging with the horses, playing cards by the lake, and relaxing in the sauna. Perfect getaway and so nice to be out of service/wifi!

The Rocky Ridge Resort is the perfect retreat if you’re looking to unplug and tune into nature, while staying in a beautiful log cabin. I wish we could have stayed longer. We took advantage of the sauna (an extra $50 but well worth it), and we loved the views of the the mountains, trees, and other cabins. The rooms were very clean, and the amenities were exactly what we needed. The wood fire was the cherry on top, and the Rocky Ridge Family made sure to have chopped firewood and kindling nearby for our convenience. There was no electricity or wifi, and it added to the charm. We had cozy sleeps, and relaxing days. We plan to stay again, hopefully longer the next time.

We had a lovely friendly welcome by our hosts with a personal introduction to Bear Cabin. The setting is idyllic, with wide open spaces and stunning mountain ranges. Our family of 3 generations enjoyed exploring the trail to the nearby lake, and swimming, which is best accessed from the recreation area just off the road on way up to Rocky Ridge. we loved the tranquility – a perfect place to unplug and unwind.

It was one of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed at around the world! So cozy, stunning views, the sky at night took our breath away. We saw shooting stars, the snow shoeing was amazing! One of my favourite places to stay by far!!

We had an amazing family getaway at Rocky Ridge Resort. The peaceful surroundings, beautiful scenery, and welcoming atmosphere made it a truly memorable stay.
During our visit, we saw a bear, fed the horses, goats, and dogs, celebrated Swiss National Day, enjoyed hiking, swam in the lake, went paddleboarding, and even tried fishing (no luck this time!).
Our daughters absolutely loved the playground and had a fantastic time exploring the property.
What really made the experience special was the Rocky Ridge family. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely cared about making sure we had everything we needed. You can tell they put a lot of heart into creating a great experience for their guests.
We highly recommend Rocky Ridge Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing family getaway, and we’d love to come back again.

We did a road trip from Edmonton to Haida Gwaii and decided to stop for 3 nights at Rocky Ridge Resort.
To say that it exceeded expectations is an understatement!
Carole and Ueli are gracious, laid back, accommodating hosts who have created a slice of heaven in this picturesque area.
The cabin we stayed in had no wifi and no power, which created the perfect atmosphere for amazing family connection.
We enjoyed the beautiful property so much – the creek side walks, the wildflowers in the fields, the animals, the park, the sauna, the walk to the lake, but mostly the relaxation we did with the beautiful backdrop of the mountains.
We’ve never been out this way before and will be planning another trip out to Rocky Ridge Resort again soon!

I don’t usually write reviews but omg this place is something else!! The cabins are beautiful, the sauna amazing and the the surroundings out of this world. I have never felt more at peace than at this place (deep I know haha) but so true. The quietness puts you in a place that we often don’t (if ever) get to experience. A piece of heaven on earth in my opinion!!

Fantastic accommodation… we arrived to find no electricity or internet – exactly what you need for a truly relaxing holiday. The hosts were incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind, and they patiently explained everything to us. There were eight of us in three chalets. Everything was clean and very well-maintained. We sat around a campfire in the evenings and even saw bears upon arrival.
An unforgettable holiday…
We stayed there from July 21st to 23rd, 2026.
